The futures spot contracts traded in Quantfury are quoted in real-time from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Commodity Exchange (COMEX) and New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). The contracts are traded in nominal values, so you can trade and invest in 1 barrel of oil or 1 ounce of gold, free of any fees.

The expiration day for the contract in the Quantfury app is chosen to be prior to the true contract expiration as traded on the exchange where it's listed for liquidity purposes. Once expired on the Quantfury app, the next contract with the nearest expiration date is added and is available to trade.

To check when a futures contract expires in the Quantfury app:

  1. Tap on the futures contract;

  2. Scroll down to the Summary section;

  3. 'Stops Trading' countdown shows when the contract will expire. The date of the contract expiration is also shown at the top of the Instrument View next to the name of the futures contract.

* You will be notified when a futures contract is approaching its expiration if it's in your watchlist or if you have a position in it. You can adjust the settings relating to futures contract expiration in Settings.
