On Quantfury, you can manually open a long or short position in 600+ financial assets, including cryptocurrencies, stocks, futures, ETFs, and forex pairs.

Open a Position

  1. Click on an asset you wish to open a long or short position in. Check out the article on how to add assets to your watchlist;

  2. To open a long position, tap on 'BUY'. To open a short position, tap on 'SELL';

  3. Use the slider to select the size of your position. For precision, you can use the (+) and (-) buttons on the right of the slider;

  4. Enter your stop order size and the price that you want it to be executed at (for stocks, ETFs, futures, forex pairs) or triggered at (for crypto pairs), and press the 'Enter' button on the keyboard to confirm;

  5. Enter your target order size and the price that you want it to be executed at (stocks, ETFs, futures, forex pairs) or triggered at (for crypto pairs), and press the 'Enter' button on the keyboard to confirm;

  6. Tap on 'BUY Open Position' for a long position, or 'SELL Open Position' for a short position and confirm your trade.

For positions in stocks, ETFs, futures contracts and forex pairs, your manual buy or manual sell trade order is executed at the existing, real-time BUY / SELL prices that are delivered from the relevant global exchanges.

For positions in crypto pairs, your manual buy or manual sell order is executed at the real-time Binance or Coinbase spot order book price, according to your trade size. You can confirm the exchange order book price of your trade execution by clicking on your position in the Trading History, and tapping on the book symbol to view the Order Book Confirmation.

Add Position

  1. Click on the position you wish to add to;

  2. To add to a long position, tap on 'BUY - Add Position'. To add to a short position, tap on 'SELL - Add Position';

  3. Use the slider to select how much you wish to add to your position. For precision, you can use the (+) and (-) buttons on the right of the slider;

  4. Tap on 'BUY Add Position' for a long position, or 'SELL Add Position' for a short position and confirm your trade.

* As you add to an open position, you'll notice that your average entry price will change to account for other trades where you added to the position.

Reduce or Close Position

  1. Click on the position you wish to reduce or close;

  2. To reduce or close a long position, tap on 'Sell - Reduce Position'. To reduce or close a short position, tap on 'BUY - Reduce Position';

  3. Use the slider to select how much of the position you wish to reduce. To close the entire position, pull the slider all the way right. For precision, you can use the (+) and (-) buttons on the right of the slider;

  4. Tap on 'SELL Reduce Position' for a long position, or 'BUY Reduce Position' for a short position and confirm your trade.

  5. If you wish to quickly close your position, swipe the position to the left on the main screen of the Quantfury app, and press on the 'Close' button.
